A godsend as you come off the A30
What a godsend this station is, just as you come off the A30, coming in to Okehampton. I've had a couple of close shaves recently, where it looked like I was about to run out of petrol, but fortunately I've just made it! The station itself always strikes me as clean and tidy, with a useful Budgens shop and very helpful, friendly staff. You couldn't ask for anything more...

Convenient amenity
The addition of Budgens to Whitehouse has made it invaluable when you haven't time to get into Okehampton. Also the car wash is a great asset. The staff are friendly, and on the one occasion when I bought something out of date, they bent over backwards to rectify the situation. Excellent service.

So much more than a garage
The Whitehouse is unlike most petrol stations. Family owned and run, it doubles as a Budgeons supermarket which stocks so much more than the average garage... including the best deals on wine and beer in the area!
But perhaps the most important feature of the place is the staff. Helpful, friendly, funny and always pleased to see you, for the locals they become a good reason to drop in!
So the petrol is 1p a litre more than Mole Avon... the advantages of the place outweigh the extra cost!By EddieGrundy at 06:00 on 10/03/10
