Kevin Sharpe from Zero Carbon World, John & Kay Bickley from Upcott House B&B and Jeremy Stonehouse from Cornwall making their way to Parke, Dartmoor National park Headquarters to present a proposal for an electric vehicle (bikes, cars, trampers and quads) infrastructure on Dartmoor. The National park suffers with over 145,000 tons of carbon emissions per annum brought by visitors to the Moor who come by car. The proposal is part of the Two Moors Sustainable Transport Plan that aims to get visitors travelling to and around the Moor carbon free on foot, by bike, by rail, on horseback or by electric bikes, cars, trampers or quads. Many interested tourism venues had already made in roads into using renewable sources of energy from solar panels or wind or water turbines which make the perfect zero carbon fuel for electric cars.
