Are Okehampton police doing enough to combat anti-social behaviour?

A recent report suggest that the police in England and Wales are not doing enough to  deal with anti-social behaviour - with one force admitting that in 23% of cases officers did not even attend incidents.

What's your view of Okehampton's policing, particularly in view of the recently-trumpeted new initiatives to reduce anti-social behavior in the town - which include restrictions on drinking in public?

Ask yourselves the following questions - and feel free to post your answers below...

* How bad is the anti-social yobbish behaviour in your town?

* Do you feel threatened when you go out?

* Would you be prepared to confront a group of kids making a nuisance of themselves?

* Are your local police doing enough?

* Is there somewhere in your town where the yobs hang out and cause problems?

* Is the justice system too soft?

* Do the kids have nothing else to do?

it would be particularly interesting to hear from the teens and twenties who are often accused of being the root of the problem.

    Absolutely mick,
2am. kick out time at rumours nightclub a real dangerous time to be out and about in town. and not a police car or bobby in site. Needs a bit more organisation then just random patrols.

Don't get me wrong, when the police are out they do a good job, but if they're not there then anything can and does happen.
