With the change in parliamentary boundaries, there is one certain outcome of the fast-approaching election. Okehampton, as part of the new Central Devon constituency, will have a new MP.  Four candidates have been declared, and they will all be attending a Question Time session arranged by Okehampton U3A.

The meeting, open to everyone, is on Thursday 25th March at the Ockment Centre. Starting at 2.30pm, this will be the first opportunity for Okehampton residents to meet and question the candidates.

If you wish to ask a question, you will need to submit it in advance. You can do this by ringing Eunice Goodwin on 01837 53607 or email Eunicegoodwin@tiscali.co.uk, putting the word 'question' in the subject line. Question forms will also be available on the afternoon, but must be handed in by 2.00pm.

The declared candidates for Central Devon are:

Bob EDWARDS (UKIP)

Phil HUTTY (Liberal Democrats)

Moira MacDONALD (Labour

Mel STRIDE (Conservative)
