Set in the heart of Devon, this beautiful Edwardian ‘gentleman’s residence’ offers the perfect location for a either a relaxing holiday or a quick and comfortable overnight stop. Situated in its own quiet and spacious grounds, this family house looks out across the Okement Valley with stunning views of Dartmoor. We have the Dartmoor First award for celebrating and conserving the beauty of our Dartmoor surroundings.

We have eight rooms offering guests either en-suite, standard or family accommodation. Our largest room has a queen sized four poster and can accommodate up to 5 people. A cot and baby bath are available for families. Our en-suite rooms have either a shower or a bath. We have some self catering accommodation with capacity for two people and a ground floor en-suite room with limited disabled access. Our single basic room ‘the boot room’ provides an economy option for a single person on a budget.

Our facilities
All rooms are decorated to a high standard retaining many of the period features of the house, but at the same time offering a full range of modern conveniences: central heating, digital TV, WiFi internet, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast can be served in your room or in the dining room. We use a range of produce sourced from local farmers or our own garden.

We are close to a great selection of local pubs and restaurants, all of which are within walking distance and all serving hearty country fare and real ales.

Our privately enclosed gardens provide an excellent retreat in which guests can relax or play. The guest lounge has large comfy sofas and is well stocked with an excellent range of reading material, TV, DVDs and games for quiet evenings in front of the fire. The lounge can be booked for small group meetings with refreshments provided on request.

Our Location
We are a two minute drive or a 10 minute walk from Okehampton, a mile from the main A30 and ½ mile from the A386. Our car park has space for up to 10 vehicles.
