Snow finally reaches Okehampton...

First reports this morning gave the impression that we had joined the rest of snowed-in Britain and life was grinding to a halt. But as it approaches midday, reports from the town and around suggest that, although side roads and country lanes are hazardous, main routes and the town centre are clear.

There is still only a thin covering of snow on North Dartmoor
Only one school - Spreyton Primary - is closed, but some school bus routes serving Okehampton College ( OKE001, OKE004, OKE012 OKE018 and OKE500) are not running. Okey Taxis are also off the road at present.
There are problems elsewhere in Devon, particularly to the north and south, where there are roads closures and driving is very difficult. Visit BBC Travel for up-to-the-minute information.
If you have information about your village or road - or any event affected by the snow, please post it below.
