Heritage Open Day - Okehampton Battle Camp Sat/Sun 11th/12th Sept.

Okehampton Battle Camp, built c.1892-1895 to support military training on Dartmoor, opens to the public, with a wide variety of events, displays and attractions to interest all ages. Attractions include WWII military vehicles, Corps of Drums, model displays, competitions, militaria sales, soldiers explaining how they train and use Dartmoor, 3 hour guided walk onto moor at 1400, historic barrack blocks and stables, staff describing the history of the Camp and care of Dartmoor and much more.
