A report arrived from the police this morning which can only be described as more Dodge City than rural Devon.

If you cross the Devon County line, look out for the Dukes of Hazard!

Headed "Witness appeal after large fight, Holsworthy", it goes on...

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a large fight in Holsworthy over the weekend. Officers were called to Fore Street between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday 30th October.

Up to fifteen people are thought to have been involved in the incident.

A 20 year-old man suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment. He remains in a serious but stable condition.

Four men, all from Holsworthy, were arrested and later released on police bail until 5 December. They are aged 43, 22, 20 and 16.
