It's here again! The South West's biggest community arts project, which will see (Shock! Horror!) Guy Fawkes fall in with bad company and end up getting burned. What happens in between is, as usual, a closely-guarded secret, with the show's title giving little away.

It's a good idea to buy your tickets in advance - it makes getting on to the field so much easier. They're available from both Sticklepath and South Zeal Stores, as well as Donalds and The Flower Pot in Okehampton. Busses will again be laid on from Okehampton, which gets round all the potential parking problems.

Okehampton and district's great night out has received national attention this year, and was praised in an editorial in The Daily Telegraph.

I'll give that august organ the last word...

They wrote, "Guy Fawkes's day is on a Saturday this year, and the wonderful show and bonfire at Sticklepath, near Okehampton in Devon, should draw a crowd. Forget mealy-mouthed celebrations like the one Southwark plans, not even mentioning Guy. The Sticklepath Fireshow puts the wicked Guy Fawkes centre stage – then burns down the stage and all the scenery."
