Okehampton celebrates New Year's Eve 2012!

ARE YOU PLANNING TO celebrate New Year's Eve in Okehampton? If you haven't made up your mind yet where to go, here's some ideas for you...

The Red Lion Inn at Exbourne has a secret mission this New Year's Eve. They're holding a James Bond theme night! Dress as your favourite James Bond character, you'll be able to watch James Bond film clips and there'll be James Bond music to listen to. Not only that but it's free admission and a late bar. Sounds unmissable, Miss Moneypenny...

Betty Cottles Inn is also holding a fancy dress party. This one is in aid of Macmillans House, with a prize for the best dressed person. Admission is £5 (advance), £6 on the night. Call 01837 55339 to book.

A number of the pubs around town have something planned for this evening. There's free discos at the Plymouth and the London Inn. Elsewhere The New Inn will be open 6pm until late, while the White Hart Hotel is offering a reduced food menu from 6pm to 9pm, with the bar open until 1am.

The Pretoria Vaults is holding a New Year's Eve event. According to their Facebook page, they recommend arriving early this evening. They had to turn people away last year as they'd reached their maximum capacity.

If you fancy some live music, The Fireblockers are playing at the Ring O'Bells in Chagford. It's free entry.

Finally the Okehampton Rugby Club is holding a Glamour and Gold themed evening. Tickets are now sold out, but If you can get hold of one, it's a black-tie evening, with a disco hosted by Martin Webber.
