There's plenty of Halloween fun to be had in and around Okehampton this year, so grab your face paint and dig out your best vampire outfit and check out our eerie event guide.
What: Halloween Party
Where: Okehampton RFC
When: October 31st, 7pm-12pm
Okehampton Rugby club promises a fun-packed evening of spooky fun to help raise funds for the club. There will a disco and amusement stalls throughout the evening, plus a prize raffle.
This will be a ticket only event, £5 per adult and £2.50 per child. For tickets, please call 07889019641. They will also be available from the 50/50 shop later this week. All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
What: Children's Halloween Trail
Where: Lydford Gorge, Lydford The Stable,Okehampton,EX20 4BH
When: Daily from 27 October to 4 November 2012, 10am - 3pm
Are mice afraid of rats? Do blood sucking bats feed on human flesh? Why do wolves howl? These are just a few of the spooky questions to find answers to in a self-led trail around the Witches Wood. Ten boxes to search for then reach into the box if you dare to discover the answers plus a few other spooky surprises!
Suitable for children aged 4+
Prize for completed trails

What: Spooky night at Lydford Gorge
When: Monday, 29 October 2012, 6pm - 8pm
Bring your own pumpkins to make a spooky Halloween lantern. Listen and watch two short spooky performances of 'The Scull' and 'The Mistletoe Bride', guaranteed to chill the bones…
Gates open: 5.30pm
Last admission time: 7pm
Halloween pumpkin lantern making 5.30-7 / storytelling 7-8. Please arrive for a prompt start at 6 pm to enable you to finish your lantern before the storytelling begins.
All Tickets £4
What: Children's mask and hat making
Where: Lydford Gorge
When: Wednesday, 31 October 2012, 12pm - 3pm
Halloween coming, but you haven't got a thing to wear? Then why not pop along to the children's mask and hat making session at Lydford where you can rustle up a bat mask, a witch's or wizards' hat or a spooky spider.

What: All you can eat curry and pumpkin carving extravaganza
Where: The Kings Arms, South Zeal
When: Tuesday 30th October, 4pm-6pm
Children's pumpkin carving 4pm-6pm, includes a snack @6pm and disco till 9pm. All you can eat curry for the adults.
