Man, 82, missing on Dartmoor

A search is continuing for an 82 year old man who has been missing on Dartmoor overnight.

Dartmoor rescue have been involved in the search for 82-year-old Mr Golding

Eddie Golding who is on holiday with his family from Kent, was last seen at 4.30pm on Monday 25th July near Tor Rocks on his way back to his car at Harford Gate, near Ivybridge.

Police Officers supported by Dartmoor Rescue Group, the Police Helicopter and a helicopter from RNAS Culdrose have been searching the area since the alert was raised by his family at around 7.30pm when Mr Golding failed to arrive back at the car park at Harford Gate.

Mr Golding is described as white, about 6 feet in height, slim to medium build with short receding grey hair and glasses.

He was wearing black wellies, dark green trousers and fleece but he also had brown waterproof trousers and a light blue waterproof jacket.

Mr Golding is fit for his age and was dressed for the weather and it is felt by his family that if he had got in to trouble he would have sought shelter for the night.
