Exeter man charged with stealing Okehampton charity boxes

A 56 year-old-man from Exeter has been charged with theft of charity boxes in Okehampton.
David Hughes, of no fixed address, faces charges dating back to 2007. The charges include burglary in Swansea and Bury St Edmunds, going equipped in Colyton, bilking in Yelverton, South Molton, Camelford and Tintagel, theft of communion wine in Ide and theft of charity boxes at Okehampton.
Hughes was arrested on 24 October 2012 at Colyton for the going equipped offence and was charged following interview. He is due to appear before Exeter Magistrates Court this week.
