Fun,
-
Jason Hornbuckle - one of the top chefs who will be at the event this weekend
food and festivities are all coming to Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre this
weekend (Sunday 29th and Monday 30th May) for the first
ever 'Eat the Devon Way' event.
Try
and buy local produce at one of the huge variety of stalls and see what
wonderful feasts you can cook up with cookery demonstrations for the experts.
Top local chefs Jason Hornbuckle, Jacques Marchal, John Hooker, Stuart Downie,
Steve Pidgeon, Steve Barringer, James Parkinson, Andrew Honey, Phillip Burgess,
and Ross Tregido will all be appearing in the cookery theatre during the course
of the two day event with a packed cookery programme including interactive
sessions, and a cookery challenge.
With
Dingles host to the oldest working ride in the country, the largest Dodgem track
in the country, the kitsch splendour of the 1940's Ghost Train, the thrill of
the 1930's Super Chariot Racer, and traditional games and side shows, there are
plenty of fun fairground rides for the whole family to enjoy
too.
Judy
Pride, Community Fundraiser for Children's Hospice South West,
says:
"Our
thanks to Yarty Valley Cordials, Hi-T's Fudge, and Langage Farm for organising
this fabulous new event. Dingles Fairground is a wonderful venue, and we're all
getting very excited about it now.
"As
well as being a great family day out, we hope the event will help raise a
significant amount for our Precious Lives Appeal for our new children's hospice
Little Harbour.
"Come
and join us for a fun filled family foodie weekend and help raise funds the
Devon way!"
