Bonfires and firework displays in and around Okehampton 2012

The nights are drawing in and there's a chill in the air, meaning just one thing - bonfire night is here and there's plenty to do in and around Okehampton this year.  

This year's infamous Sticklepath Fireshow, near Okehampton, is certainly set to wow crowds once again. Last year's show was a sell-out sensation.The theme for this year is top secret, but you can be assured that Guy Fawkes will be sent to another fiery death.

This year's Fireshow, 'Bamboozled' is at Finch Foundry Field, Sticklepath on Monday November 5. Gates open at 6.00pm. Tickets £7 (adult) £3 (child, 14 and under)

Refreshments are available to purchase on site. There is very limited parking in the village, and we would encourage people to use the free shuttle bus which runs from Okehampton (outside Martins newsagents and Giblands bus stop). The first bus is at 6.15pm and the last 7.15pm, returning after the show.

Tickets are limited. They are available in advance from Donald's Menswear & The Flower Pot (Okehampton) as well as Sticklepath and South Zeal stores. There will be a limited number of on the night tickets this year for sale on the main gate outside Finch Foundry from 6pm. The committee would like to stress that tickets should be purchased in advance to avoid disappointment on the night.

Brentor will be staging a firework and bonfire display on Monday November 5 on the Brentor Playing Field. All welcome. Hot refreshments are available. Gates open at 6.30pm. £5 adult, £2 child, £12 family ticket. 

The Lions Club promises a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday November 3 staged by award-winning Two Tigers Fireworks Ltd at Tavistock Meadows. Gates open at 6.15pm with the display starting at 7.00pm. A barbecue and hot drinks will be available. Entrance: £4 for adults and £1 for children
